Vega Solaris videogame ready for mobile phones
Fernando Sáenz Pérez says: "Vega Solaris" videogame has been ported to Java languaje for its execution on mobile phone platform.
Find here more info about this Sinclair ZX Spectrum videogame, and here about its Java port made by students of Computer Science Faculty of Complutense University of Madrid.
Vega Solaris was developed by Fernando Sáenz Pérez and Carlos García in 1987. Dinamic (an important spanish developer and distributor of computer videogames those years) showed interest in the game, and even advertised it in Micohobby magazine (the main Sinclair magazine in Spain), using a wonderful coverart by Azpiri artist in 1989. But the game was never released to the market. SPA2 volunteers rescued the game in MadriSX&Retro 2005 fair, thanks to their authors donation and support.
In 2007 Sergio Díaz Jubera, Javier Gallego Ahijón and José María Sobrinos García (students mentored by Vega Solair's author Fernando Sáenz Pérez) finished their final student work, that consisted of the Java port of this game and its related documentation.
